Each meeting is different as we may bring in special
guest speakers for each meeting. Each speaker is uniquely
qualified in his or her own specific field of expertise.
Even a seasoned investor will be pleasantly surprised with
the knowledge gained from attending our meetings. We
encourage all attendees to participate at the meetings by
asking our speakers your pertinent questions. We need and
appreciate your input at all meetings. Like-minded investors
can and do learn and help each other to achieve success.

HIGHLIGHTS
FROM OUR LAST MEETING
Edmonton
Revenue Property Investors Association
July 10, 2007
Karen, out Chair lady opened
the meeting, and Les gave us an update on current market
conditions.
Our first guest speaker was
Eldon Schechtel of EXCEL Building Inspection and Consulting
from Sherwood Park. They do apartments, Condo’s,
commercial, farm, acreages as well as sewer and water
systems. . His phone number is (780) 464-5634
The best buildings are those
built from early 1950’s to late a 1960’s. One suggestion
he mentioned was to extend roof vents so that snow does not
melt around the vents. Also for wet basements, check the
eve’s troughs and grading, then seal clay around the home,
as basements are never waterproof.
Our second guest speaker gave
a presentation on Spring Fresh, a mountain resort complex
development in
South Korea. This is for qualified investors and the minimum
investment in this luxury development is $150,000. There
will be both private and government funding. The time
frame is 4 years and the total cost of this development will
be US $323 Million. For more information, they have a web
site www.SpringFresh.ca
The meeting closed at 9:30
with a draw for books and money donated by the presenters.
