Feb 25 2007 More sh_t hits the fan, pipes freezing. What the hell is the matter with people? Why don't they listen. I live in an area where the temperature drops below freezing in the winter. I tell tenants "do not open your windows when the temperature is below freezing." Every year I see windows open and deal with frozen and burst hot water heating pipes. Today is no exception. The tenant left the window open for a week and the pipe froze and flooded the bedroom. Water leaked into the suite below too. Damages for this kind of nonsense can be $5000. I see tenants posting lots of blogs about landlords but I believe tenants cause landlords far more grief and damage.
